Via AirfareSpot Delta really does have $62 one-way fares from New York to Grand Cayman, including all taxes. Roundtrip fares are $190 which is phenomenal.
Travel is available September through mid-February with some peak dates like December 16-27 and New Years Eve and New Years Day excluded.
This is a $24 base fare in each direction, so it’s mostly taxes. A non-elite SkyMiles member would only earn 240 miles roundtrip in Delta’s revenue-based program. So definitely credit these 3534 miles of roundtrip travel to a program like Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan that will give you 50% of flown miles on a ‘V’ fare — over 1750 miles roundtrip or 7 times as many as Delta would give you.
Not sure if this is related but we just booked R/T MCO-LGA flights on Delta in Jan for $166 on a Fri-Sun trip.
