Going On Vacation? Pet Sitting is Now Illegal in New York

My Yorkshire terrier is now over 15 years old. He’s still full of spunk but tires more than he used to, and gets stressed out more easily too. We used to board him at a cage free day care in town, and he loved it there. But he’s just not able to do it anymore.

It’s a good thing, then, that I don’t live in New York. Because pet sitting is illegal in New York City.

It Took Up to 17 Police Officers to Toss a 33 Year Old Grandfather From a Plane

Davi Stretton Mellor, his wife Kerry-Anne, along with their children and grandchildren were taken off the flight.

They got into a fight with other passengers. In their version other passengers “were banging on their children’s seats.” And nothing happened until Stretton Miller went to sleep and “was later woken by Spanish police who demanded he leave the plane.”

New Government Report: TSA Has No Basis for How It Picks Out Terrorists, Just Makes Stuff Up

The TSA has had employees roaming the airports watching passengers, using their spidey senses to figure out who might be a terrorist.

Four years ago the Department of Homeland Security’s Inspector General concluded that the TSA’s behavior detection efforts didn’t work and racially profiled. I’ve argued that TSA literally has no science in its files to support its efforts. Now the government agrees.

Another Devaluation — Delta Award Pricing No Longer Even Following Its Hidden Award Chart

Delta has found a new way to price dynamically. Already they’ve practiced journey control. You might find saver award space on multiple flights, but they won’t allow you to combine those flights into a saver award. Two connecting flights on an otherwise legal routing might price out as more miles.

Now though non-stop saver awards may price out more expensively depending on route.
