On Friday night an easyJet passenger on a delayed Paris – Mallorca flight headbutted a flight attendant. He was pinned to the ground, before being removed.
This all happened after four rowdy passengers had been removed from the flight. It’s the fifth one that “launched the attack.”
Naturally, there’s video. He’s on the ground at the front of the plane as law enforcement tries to remove him — with a choke hold.
Ultimately flight 3833 was rescheduled to this morning.
Here’s what happened:
According to an airline spokesperson,
easyJet is aware of this disruptive passenger incident onboard prior to take off which was extremely distressing for the crew and passengers onboard.
The police were called to assist the crew in dealing with the incident and arrested the passenger. We will not tolerate threatening or violent behaviour towards our crew and will be pushing for prosecution.
We are doing all possible to support the crew members who were subject to this unacceptable behaviour. The safety and well being of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority.
The flight attendant could have just subdued the passenger by giving him one of the expired cheese toasties they sell on board.
Did EasyJet collect the requisite entertainment fee from the other passengers?
That’s business aa usual for the high class pax that Easy Jet attracts
American will soon be the same with shrinking seats cramped bathrooms and no food onboard
Crazy guy just wanted a cheese toastie? Psychological evaluation seems in order.
No mention as to whether the passengers were English
I’m pretty sure that’s Parker in a disguise
Another reason not to fly the budgets anywhere in Europe during the party season. But wait, I think that happens all year round over there!
