A Russian passenger stripped, walked through the cabin, and threatened flight attendants – and even tried to open an aircraft door during the flight – while traveling from Nha Trang, Vietnam to Bangkok on Thursday.
AirAsia flight 647 requested an emergency landing at Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport. When the Airbus A320 made it onto the ground, the passenger reportedly demanded the door be opened, and he jumped out onto the tarmac before stairs were in place. He injured his leg (naturally) and was darrested by Thai police. He may have been agitated by the flight’s delay. It was running about an hour and 40 minutes behind schedule.
In this passenger video, the man can be seen climbing over seats in his underwear, loitering in the back galley, and getting arrested on the tarmac:
I’ve noted an American Airlines passenger who couldn’t take a delay anymore and opened the exit door, popping the slide. A Southwest passenger jumped out of a moving 737, ran across the tarmac and locked himself inside the airport fire station. Another Southwest passenger jumped out of the plane and tried to steal a truck.
And just this month a passenger went pantsless on a United flight and nobody stopped it.
