  1. AMEX had an offer a few months back for 10,000 MR points for spending $500 on a prepaid hotel booking on AMEXTravel. That was fun.

  2. Does anyone know if the $50 credit from AmEx applies only for a single transaction that is $300 or more, or if it also works for several smaller transactions with a total sum of $300 or more?

  3. My Amex offer says: “Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a total of $300 or more on purchases made directly with any airline by 10/31/16”

So I would assume multiple transactions. HTH

  4. Where do you see/ should I look for these offers? What types of Amex card(s) offer them?

  5. Log on to your Amex account. Scroll to the bottom and you will see offers. You need to press the Add To Card button to activate each offer that you might use. Be sure to scroll to bottom and press the Load More button. You need to do this for each Amex card. I had the $50 rebate for spending $300 on airfare offer on my SPG Starwood card, but not on my Sapphire.
Be sure to pay for your purchases with the correct card.
Amex sends an immediate email when you redeem your offer by making the appropriate purchase.

  6. @Tom – Based on the wording (purchases) I think that multiple transactions could add up to $300 for the airfare. “spend a total of $300 or more on purchases made directly with any airline”

I have the airfare offer and two tickets to buy right now, but AMEX is putting my account through an FR, so I can’t use it to test! 🙁
