  1. Oh, nice… a 2nd vs. 1st Amendment show-down… but, because it’s not the ‘government’ restricting anything, rather, it’s a private company, probably whatever the airline says goes.

  2. @1990

Dollars-to-donuts, and without knowing any of the facts, some folks will walz right in and (with 100% certainty) inform the rest of us as to the political affiliation of the person that “planted” this gun on the aircraft. If Gary linked this site to FanDuel or DraftKings we could make some serious cash playing the odds!!

  3. All that orange, but doesn’t look like a kid’s toy to me so this is almost certainly something for training and can’t actually shoot. Perhaps a leftover from a security test?? And they’re trying to hide it because they are somehow part of the mistake?

  4. Waiting for Tim Dunn to say:

    1) They would never find a gun like this on a Delta flight
    2) If they DID find one, the Delta flight attendants would generate 20% more revenue from it than any other airline’s employees

  5. @Lucky Larry — Oh, yes… looks can be deceiving. Now, your wise talk of ‘donuts’ above is making me want to use my Amex Gold $7/mo Dunkin credit… did you know that you can only reload your Dunkin gift card account up to $120 or so via the app? So, now I learn that I must start spending the credits so that I can use more of them. There’s always an angle isn’t there…

  6. That person’s Twitter account doesn’t seem to show those posts anymore when I visit their profile. It’s just full of voter fraud election denial stuff from 2024.

  7. There’s enough actual antisemitism that idiots like this who make up falsehoods do a huge disservice to the cause they purport to serve.

  8. Am I the only one who can ID a NERF gun? Have you never seen a toy before?

Either way, look at her account, the woman is a nutjob.

  9. I’ve heard Rabbi Shmuley Boteach on the radio before. I would take his word over the hotel unless they can prove everything they allege. It sounds like they are throwing mud at a wall and trying to see what sticks.

  10. Many airports in the UK have gone to court and obtained “defendant class-action” injunctions prohibiting environmental protests (or, depending on the wording, any protests of any sort). And in one case (East Midlands, Manchester, and Stansted) the injunction applies not just at the airports but also “on any flight therefrom”.
Perhaps it’s time for airports in the US to go to court and obtain “defendant class-action” injunctions against anyone who tries to illegally possess/carry a firearm at the airport or on any flight therefrom. This would allow violators to be held in contempt of court instead of just facing the usual civil penalty from TSA.
How does this sound? “Anytown International Airport Authority v. Persons Unknown whose purpose is or includes the unlawful possession or carriage of firearms on the premises of Anytown International Airport or on any flight therefrom and who enter upon those premises, and Persons Unknown who unlawfully possess or carry firearms on the premises of Anytown International Airport or on any flight therefrom”.

  11. If a seat becomes inoperable and cannot be used and there’s no additional seating as much as it sucks for other passengers that flight should have diverted to have the seat addressed. Having someone being forced to stand, particularly with an infant in hand, is a true safety concern and issue.

  12. If that is a Byrna it sure as hell should not be carried by a passenger in an airport or on an operating flight.

If I see you with one in the above situation, trust me I will report you.

  13. I’m sorry, but how in the hell are you not “especially concerned about the pistol”? Even if it’s non-lethal, there are many failures here that make this incredibly concerning. I mean, WTF?

  14. I can’t tell if it is a Byrna, 3D printed something or a glue gun.

Should have been a “thank you and we will let you know what happens”
