  1. The UK used to give you credit for unused validity when you renewed your passport, up to nine months. So if your passport had three months left when you renewed that would be added to the life of the new passport, so it’s expiration would ten years plus the three months. So it is possible to have a passport good for ten years and nine months. The EU will not recognize validity time beyond ten years and will require six months validity. The six months requirement plus the possible nine months extra is where the 15 months number comes from. It will only affect a tiny tiny number of people.

  2. In the 4Q earnings call a few days ago, WN estimated very end of 1Q or a bit later for Hawaii service to start. Would depend on details around government shutdown.
