British Airways Says They Can Now Close Your Mileage Account If You Criticize Them
In Thailand writing a bad review of a hotel can land you in jail. Defamation can be a criminal charge, and include opinions deemed to be unfair.
British Airways can’t get away with putting its critics in prison under U.K. law but they’ve updated their terms and conditions to say that they can close the mileage accounts of members who “statements..reflects unfavourably on the reputation of British Airways or any aspect of its business, brands, products or services.”

Earn 100,000 Avios Plus A Rebate Up To $600 a Year, Too

Right now there seems to be a quirk booking awards on British Airways that you can exploit to reduce fuel surcharges (or ‘carrier-imposed surcharges’) by about two-thirds.
Left On The Hook, British Airways Supplier Sells Its 100th Anniversary Gin
Airline catering suppliers are facing tremendous amounts of stock just sitting in warehouses. Some will sell you their meals to eat at home. American Airlines stopped buying first class nuts, so those are sitting in Dallas and are now for sale online. And, it turns out, British Airways 100th anniversary gin is being offloaded at a discount, too.
Pickering’s Gin has a case of British Airways gin miniatures marked down 62%.
British Airways Celebrates Covid-19 With Double Miles
The airline explains the reason for the promotion as celebrating the current good times. The global pandemic has sapped air travel demand. U.K. quarantine rules have limited travel further. So pop the bubbly by yourself in a socially-distanced way, fly to or through Heathrow if you’re able, 2020 is something to celebrate.
