Oh the drama! First Iberia offered up to 90,000 points at a cost of around $300 for booking flights you never even need to take. That’s because the points were supposed to post right away, and expire if unused December 1, while flights could even be for next year.
Iberia started freezing accounts that took advantage of the promotion and coming up with reasons not to honor the deal for some members. However they honored the deal for most people and even have been unlocking some accounts and continuing to post bonus points.

Pittsburgh was abandoned as a hub by US Airways starting around 2004. Twenty years ago they flew to about 120 destinations from Pittsburgh. By the end of the decade they had only half that number of flights and were using just 10 gates.
The airport has attracted new service from low cost carriers, but is no longer a hub. They haven’t had service to London since US Airways eliminated Gatwick service in 2004. Today the only transatlantic flying from Pittsburgh is seasonal Frankfurt service (Condor), seasonal Paris service (Delta) and year-round Reykjavík flights (Wow Air).

Bookable via Priceline, Mexico City – Santorini is bookable from $988 roundtrip. Dates are very limited at this price but under $1000 roundtrip to Greece seemed worth a mention.

Southwest, Delta and United telephone customer service has been compared to ringing up the IRS.
During irregular operations, bad weather events, calling an airline is much worse than usual – because everyone else is calling too. I’m used to hearing that “we’re experiencing unusually high call volumes” all the time as an excuse for not investing in customer service. It’s actually true during storms or other outages.

American Airlines is predicting that British Airways will fly to more mid-sized US cities than they do today, and that American is going to increase the size of the planes they fly to London Heathrow.
However despite complaining that there aren’t enough premium seats flying Chicago – London, American currently plans to reduce the number of premium seats flying Chicago – London (and to reduce the number of premium seats on two major aircraft types they fly).
