Park Hyatt Tokyo is finally back. After an 18-month closure, the hotel reopens December 9—and for now, award reservations are wide open for the Lost in Translation hotel.
The Park Hyatt London River Thames has only been open for 10 months. It still has that new hotel feel. It’s located in the Nine Elms district on the south side of the Thames, and many find it to be an odd location other than proximity to the U.S. Embassy.
I’ve stayed at the Park Hyatt Vendome Paris about a dozen times over the past dozen years, taking a couple of years off during the pandemic. It’s an absolutely lovely hotel, but also a bit of a controversial one amongst frequent travelers.
There’s a reasonable chance that if the project is ever sold the building could even be demolished and started over and the concept could change. There’s no reason to think at this point that if the property ever gets completed that it will be, in part, a Park Hyatt hotel.
The Park Hyatt Dubai felt like a special property a decade ago. Now it’s in desperate need of renovation. The staff is still very good. Breakfast is still very good, but so busy that service couldn’t keep up.
Despite the brevity of our visit, and not taking advantage of everything the hotel had to offer, I have to say that I loved my stay at the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi. The hotel still feels new and modern, service was excellent, and Globalist treatment unbeatable – from a confirmed suite upgrade and further upgrade, to complimentary breakfast via room service without so much as bringing a bill. I’d gladly return, in fact coming back for a longer stay is now top of mind.
The iconic Park Hyatt Tokyo, location for the Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson film Lost In Translation, is a favorite among World of Hyatt members. Globalist breakfast here is incredible, both in-restaurant and through allowable room service. And standard suites which are eligible for upgrade are lovely.
However it has become generally no longer possible to redeem points at this hotel.
I don’t usually write formal trip reports, over and over each time, for hotels I’ve been to. Many travel bloggers will choose new places just for the content, while my writing tends to be about the things I see and learn organically.
However I was giving some thought to the Park Hyatt Vendome after my recent stay – why do I keep returning here?
