I love that they’re refreshing the menu, and I understand they’ll be turning it over further for fall. Some of the plates do seem to be showing wear from use, scratches and design scuffed around the edges. But it’s a really nice restaurant in an airport and Capital One is doing a fantastic job with it – which makes me excited to see the LaGuardia location when it opens. I’d gladly spend time here over just about any lounge in the United States.

DOT Illegally Gave Washington National’s New Flights Only To Big Airlines—Now Spirit Airlines Is Suing In Federal Court

DOT’s Dubious DCA Decision: Controversy Over Possibly Illegal Slot Awards

By law, flights to and from Washington’s close-in National airport are limited to 1,250 miles, except for a handful of trips created by Congress and handed out by the Department of Transportation.

DOT finalized its award of new ‘beyond-perimeter’ slots at Washington’s National airport, granting flights to American, Delta, United, Southwest, and Alaska. But their process for doing this was probably illegal.

I had the opportunity to test the Capital One Landing at Washington’s Reagan National airport again, and this time under ‘real world’ conditions over the past week.

I am always skeptical that execution of food will be as good when the executives aren’t there, and under pressure to turn out dishes at the type of volume necessary for a full house of travelers.
