Giveaway: National Car Rental Executive Elite Status

As promised last week, I’m giving one lucky blog reader National Car Rental Emerald Executive Elite status.

As I mentioned, I have Executive status with National myself (but not ‘Executive Elite’).

National’s unique selling proposition is its ‘Emerald Aisle’ where Emerald Club members pick their own car. Just cruise the aisle and pick the one you want from that area of the rental lot, it’s not just about picking the car with the lowest miles or the most prestige on offer but sometimes you want a bigger car for more people or a smaller car for easier parking.

It’s much nicer than getting assigned a car you don’t want, and then queueing for a rental counter agent to beg to be switched to something else. Much faster, too.

Emerald Club <I?Executive members get to pick from the ‘Executive Aisle’ which tends to have a greater, broader selection of better cars.

Here’s a comparison of National’s elite levels.

  • Executive status is earned after 12 rentals or 40 rental days. Regular Emerald Club members earn free rental days every 7 rental credits, Executive members earn free rental days after 6 credits and their free days are valid on a full size car not just a midsize.

  • Executive Elite is earned after 25 rentals or 85 rental days. Every 5 rental credits earns a free rental day, valid for any car that’s available. Executive Elite members also get guaranteed reservations with 24 hours notice. And in practice the treatment received is better than the published benefits, or so Executive Elite members tell me.

Want Executive Elite status for a year?

  • All you need to do to enter is leave a comment to this post, either how you would make use of rental car elite status or what one thing would make the car rental experience better for you?

  • Only enter once. Anyone leaving more than one comment will not be eligible to win.

  • I will draw a winning comment at random using random.org

  • The contest will remain open for entries through Friday, April 29 at 6pm Eastern.

This is a giveaway, I don’t get anything by offering it, all interpretations of rules are mine and it isn’t mean to be a strict terms and conditions just a friendly gesture to benefit readers. If you have a question, please don’t post it as a comment here since you only get one entry! Instead email me.

Enter away, good luck on Executive Elite status, and thanks for the giveaway opportunity, National!

  1. There is nothing better then picking your own car! I promise to make good use of of the Executive elite status, and will choose wisely.

  2. Executive Elite status would be beneficial as I could earn free rental days faster, and better service never hurt anyone:)

  3. Elite status would mean I might be able to choose “best” as well as “cheapest”.

  4. I have been enjoying Elite status—I am curious to see what Executive Elite would give me.

  5. National has a fantastic model of the ‘Get in-Get out’ via Emerald Aisle but getting an Executive Elite status would make National my solo rental car company. This is a fantastic give-away Gary.

  6. Executive elite status would make it easy for me to choose National over Avis, where I have elite status.

Plus I love that with National you don’t have to ever wait in a line. Just go straight to the car.

  7. I would use elite status like this to justify my avoidance of Priceline for rental cars!

  8. I would love the status because I am a big guy, and love the flexibility to pick a big car.

  9. I’d rent a convertible for a Sunday and take my 3 girls for a long country drive to find a homemade ice cream store.

  10. I’m sick of Hertz assigning me cars with 47,000 miles on them. Need motivation to switch to National.

  11. Often renting a “green” car is pricier than a gas hog of the same size. I would love to be able to choose a car that gets awesome MPG’s and is good for the environment at the same time.

  12. Executive Elite would be nice because I would get to choose the types of cars I prefer to drive.

  13. I would use it to give National a try — usually rent from Hertz or Avis — if I like them might switch entirely…

  14. National is my rental agency of choice and I have maintained Executive status for the past few years. I am always traveling very short notice so the 24-hour guarantee would be very helpful. In addition, I love being able to use free rental days for family vacations and accumulating them faster would be great for the family.

  15. I have an upcoming trip across the US coming up – choosing my own car would make it even better!

  16. I’d like to see some kind of indication of how much rear seat space is left after you install a child safety seat, particularly if you put the child seat in the middle position. Can you still use the outboard seats for real people?

  17. I’d use the status for work travel, but I’d enjoy it because it would help with my goal of a free vacation!

  18. Looking use the membership during a trip to Maui. Maybe get nice rental for cheaper price.

  19. Executive Elite status would make it fun renting a car because I could choose my own car!

  20. I could add this to my elite hotel and airline portfolio and be elite all the way across the board.

  21. Choosing your vehicle type is important depending upon the trip you are taking, for long trips, an XM-equipped vehicle is nice, for urban trips, a smaller car is easier to park

  22. I would like to see National offer earned free upgrades to elite members to luxury vehicles, not just to the biggest regular car. Most of the time, I do not want a large car, I want a nicer car.

  23. Easier car rental returns for elite customers at airports with onerous off-site central rental facilities. The bus ride to some of these central rental car sites, e.g. Phoenix, is ridiculous.

  24. I like my elite status to include adding my wife as an extra driver for no additional charge.

  25. Gary,

Best part of rental car elite status would be to be able to go from arrivals with a family of 5 in tow, grab the biggest, safest available vehicle and plunk them down in without having to having to deal with the insanity of those 5 tired miserable travellers waiting in an endless line at the rental counter. How cool would that be??

  26. I agree with David – better cars aren’t always bigger cars – I’d like upgrades to luxury rather than boat. 🙂

  27. This would make my entire National Rental experience easier…they are my favorite company by far. Love the “Pick Your Own Car” concept!

  28. The ability to choose my own car (especially a convertible) would be great and earning faster awards is always nice.

  29. Thanks Gary. I’m about to be Executive, but the Executive Elite would be even better.

  30. If I win, can I gift it to someone that needs it far more than I do? Wait, I guess this is an entry…

  31. Love the National experience, but it could be made better by having some idea what the selection at a particular location looks like (ideally in realtime, but realistically probably just an average selection). Right now I need to turn to forums to figure out what I might be able to get at a particular location (I’m Excecutive now).

  32. I think the ability to pick your own car is a great feature and more companies should follow suit

  33. I’d probably switch all my rentals from Avis – I find the Avis First program kind of a yawn.

  34. I like picking my own car in the aisle. Having Exec Elite would allow me to select even nicer cars! 🙂

  35. It would a wonderful experience to not worry about the price and able to get to choose what you want. Feels majestic.

  36. I would love an alternative to Avis which treats me like a bipolar spouse. Upgrades one day, downgrades the next. High mileage cars, low mileage cars, etc.

  37. I’ve always wanted to pick a car! Whenever I travel with my wife, she’s always wondering about “that car over there”. Usually we just get whatever is given to us.
    Thanks

  38. I rent mostly from Thrifty, because I don’t have a lot tied up in which car. Most of my trips are one or two day trips where I shlep to the hotel, the meeting, and the airport. Who cares about which car gets you there. The worst car I ever rented was a 1985 Chevy Chevette with the rear bumper hanging off. This was 2002 from Ace Rental Car in San Diego.

  39. Knowing the exact car I am getting at time of reservation would be great. Sign me up!

  40. Thanks Gary. Although I never win, I appreciate your coming up with these contests.

  41. Clean cars and ones with less than 30,000 miles. Any more than that and they start to show wear and smell weird.

  42. I will use it to impress my coworkers on business trips! “Oh, you got a minivan? I got a Caddy…”

  43. I use Hertz at the moment but gaining status on National would definitely convince me to make the switch. I have to say that I love using the GPS feature though on Hertz and I haven’t tried National’s GPS, so I hope it’s good.

  44. Well, the elite status would probably make me take all of my car rental business to National, intead of splitting between several companies.
One thing I’d like to see is 24-kiosks for returning the car and getting a receipt on the spot for situations when you are returning early in the morning (at an airport, for example).

  45. The opportunity to choose my own car and get the added customer service features might just entice this urbanite to stop driving her own car and switch to as-needed car use. Executive Elite status is environmentally friendly!

  46. I’d like to have less hassle getting FF credit for rentals. There’s invariably a snafu (often involving clerks who say they’ve entered my FF# when they haven’t or, because of the system setup, simply cannot).

  47. Contest Entry = With executive status I would make sure when visiting my uncle in Florida that I had a car with a trunk big enough to fit his wheelchair! This always seems to be a huge hassle at the rental car counters for me.

  48. If would be spectacular to be able to choose my own car, I’m the guy always bartering for a better vehicle.

  49. Giving consumers a choice enhances the travel experience. We too often get told what to do or get given something we don’t want or need. This allows us to be part of the designing our travel for what we need

  50. I rent National cars at IND every other weekend to see my wife. Executive Elite status would benefit me with better choices. Great offer!

  51. I enjoy reading your site and thank you for the chance to participate in this give away. Business has increased for me and I find my self in the final quarters of this year and next having to travel extensively. This would make it far less taxing and more enjoyable. Plus I am looking to make a change from my current rental company. So lets hope. Thanks

  52. I would like to travel more domestically to visit family around the country and having this would be a huge plus when traveling!

  53. This award is WEAK! I hope I dont win. If the randomizer chooses me, donate this to a sad little mid-level manager who dreams of a stupid title. At least this way, he can be an “Executive Elite” somewhere in his world: if not his job, then at least with his car rental agency.

  54. The bigger selection of cars means that I can choose a reasonably-sized car that still fits 3 car seats when I travel with the family.

  55. I’ve always wanted to rent a convertible, but they are always to expensive. Having status would make that doable, perhaps several times a year.

  56. I like the pick your car option, but only if the cars available are not all tiny little compacts, as was my experience in Newark years ago.

  57. I would pick a car with best mileage everytime I will be doing long-haul driving!

  58. Nice giveaway! Having lost my Executive (non-elite) status this year missing it by 2 rentals…this would be great! Thanks 🙂

  59. I like National as rental company but when i select a car it would be nice to know if Sirus Radio is included- either by posting or some other means. Obviously, you can look at the radio but the last time I rented, it said it had Sirus but when i got in I found it was limited to only 1 news station-the others had been blocked.

  60. I’m curious to see what even greater benefits can be had from executive to executive elite.

  61. There’s more than a few who pick from Executive Aisle instead of Emerald Aisle and just drive out.

  62. Hertz just awarded me Five Star Status, but I have already switched my allegiance to National. Getting Executive Elite Status would keep me with National. Please don’t let me go back to Hertz 🙂

  63. my only suggestion for National would be more specific vehicle info on the cars offered in each category at each location for the Emerald and Executive Aisles.

  64. Renting a car with National so far has been awesome. Having free rentals after only 5 would be a great improvement. I would like to see my free rentals tax free.

  65. I’ve married myself to Hertz for no particularly good reason other than Gold status. I’d love to give National a shot!

  66. Heading to HNL/KOA in a few weeks. Would love to have the expanded options that executive elite offers!

  67. It would be nice to be able to check available cars for a location online, to have an idea of what cars might be there to choose from before you arrive.

  68. I would put this membership to very good use by taking all those trips I wanted to but couldnt afford to, and in style!

  69. I would love to be able to pick my car… the ‘something like such-and-such car’ descriptions never quite illustrate it properly for me. (plus it would be nice to pick a colour of car too, especially for finding in parking lots)

  70. An extra set of keys and gps with every car would definitely coerce me to use National Car Rental ALL THE TIME 🙂

  71. Would enjoy National Executive Elite status and would make them my company of choice. All car rental companies would do well to innovate – examples of nice perks include Enterprise ‘picking you up’ and the Hertz #1 Club Gold having your card ready for you when you arrive with the your name listed and no lines!

  72. Have gone back and forth between Avis and Hertz for years. Would be nice to try an alternative. BTW. Have not been successful trying to get either of those companies do a status match.

  73. Elite status – yes please. I would love to be able to pick my own car for change. The time wasted at the counter arguing about cars assigned has been getting out of hand….

  74. It would be great to have a layout of the rental agency as part of the confirmation email… save time on arrival!

  75. How could it benefit me? I have an upcoming national rental and to have elite status would be awesome but the best thing would be if all rental companies got rid of one way fees!

  76. Because renting from Hertz was so dreadful when the nearby National was closed. Have exec, but would love exec elite – faster free rentals.

  77. If only all rental car companies offer Emerald Aisle service, that is what I would like to see. Thanks!

  78. I just made the switch from Hertz to National because of how quickly one gets rewards. I travel a lot and the comfort of a nicer vehicle would be even nicer than it is already! Executive elite would mean I get to enjoy my vacations even more, be more comfortable traveling for work, and get free rental days faster, all wonderful things.

  79. Thanks for your giveaways Gary! A better rental experience – How about if they had a universal GPS mount already in the car for those of us that bring our own GPS. (Yeah, I know this won’t happen.)

  80. I’m already Executive, but would love Exec Elite. I have to travel for work all the time, and it seems the Emerald Aisle cars at some places are the Elite cars at others. I’d love to be able to sit in the same car all the time.

  81. I would use the car rental elite status to not worry about booking a specific category, and to try out different categories of cars available in the “Emerald Aisle”!

  82. I am at the Executive level but would love to see what the Executive Elite treats are.

  83. This would get me back to using National. I am an Emerald Club member, but have using Hotwire lately when needing a bigger car.

  84. Hopefully with Executive Elite status I would get a little better treatment when the Emerald Aisle/Executive Aisle is full of minivans or other non-desirable i.e. give me the Caddy you have hidden in back.

  85. Looks like National Executive Elite is better than Hertz President’s Circle – 1 free rental every 5 rentals and any car of your choosing. Nice!!!

  86. Executive Elite will get me back to National. They used to have a great weekend deal with AA for extra bonus miles, but they seemed to have taken that away- so I have reserved with other companies for our summer trips. They’ll be cancelled if I get status with National.

  87. National’s best feature is pick your own car. The more varied the selection on the Aisle, the better.

  88. The Emerald Aisle would be awesome for me since I’m 6′ 8″ tall. Fitting in my own car is hard enough, but having the luxury to pick my own rental car would be a dream!

  89. Getting status will actually influence me to rent a car… usually use cabs and/or shuttles and love public transportation, but I wouldn’t say no to my own car in the city.

  90. Being 6’4 in a small compact hardly ever works. Status would mean no longer driving with my knees!

  91. Cars in the Exec section should all be leather only! I wish they would occasionally also throw in a few premium/luxury cars in there. But yeah, exec Elite would automatically make National my #1 choice for rentals.

  92. Thanks for the giveaway. This would be good for the two upcoming family trips with a 3yo in tow!

  93. I’ve been planning a cross-country trip and was trying to think how to do it. Originally I was going to hitchhike a bit (my mother was not pleased, even though I’m a grown man), then I was planning to ride the bus in between cities where I have friends, and visit a bunch where I know no one. If I were to get this View from the Wing Award, I have to say it would be *amazing*, because I would rent a car in between any locations I could and thus get to do the great American road trip, a national National tour!

  94. I’d love to see elite status get free gps or maybe 2 hours free grace period. Bottled water waiting in the car would be nice too!

  95. I’m an Emerald Executive and love the benefits it provides. I’m curious about the Emerald Executive Elite status and would love to give it a try!

  96. I’m already a Presidents Circle & Presidents Club member and would love to give National a try.

  97. Once a year we rent from National for one week in Albuquerque. I always look with envy over at the Executive aisle. I am an Emerald Aisle member, and National’s flexibility is a nice perk and differentiator.

  98. Elite status would help me get better quality cars for the same or cheaper price as before. And the better customer service is always a plus!

  99. Sometimes, the rental car aspect of travel is almost as bad as the flying. Elite status would be a huge help.

  100. Always like the better treatment at the elite levels and would love to try Emerald Executive Elite status!

    Thanks for the contest!

  101. Saving time on going back to the rental counter once you get assigned something terribly bulky.

  102. Exec Elite would be nice to redeem my free rental days for guaranteed nicer or specialty vehicles.

  103. It would be nice to be able to choose the rental car, and having guaranteed 24-hour reservations would be helpful.

  104. I visit my dad a lot in florida and it would be great to take him around town in a really nice car when I visit.

  105. It would be nice if rental car companies would check every returned car for cigarette smoke, and actually clean (not just spray air freshener all over) the cars that come back smelling of smoke. It seems like half the time when I rent a car, I get one that reeks of smoke.

  106. How new is their fleet? One thing I look for in a rental is bluetooth connectivity for my phone. The last few Avis rentals I’ve had to go back in to swap vehicles because it wasn’t included. It would be nice to just pick one out on my own that has it.

  107. I was One of the 1st to belong to the Emerald Club. I still have a few of the upgrade certificates it came with. 1 One week rental, 2 3 day rentals, 100 1-class upgrades ( rent a sub-compact, use 5 upgrades, drive a CADDY!! ) and a One week rental in any time-share from RCI. All this for $100 BUCKS!!! Those were the days. It’s been downhill since. They want to make it better, they should bring that offer back.

  108. Being able to pick any available car I wanted would be the most amazing thing ever as a car guy who occasionally needs to rent a car!

  109. I’m a heavy renter and am very loyal to Avis, but would happily switch for better mileage earning. Too many times Avis locations tell me they don’t participate in the random promos.

  110. Executive elite would help as I need to move cross country this summer and don’t have a car…would be great to choose from anything on the lot!

  111. Avoiding the line and being able to select a SUV would be great when traveling with my kids.

  112. Choosing my own car would make my rental experience better, plus free rental after 5 rentals wouldn’t hurt either ;-D

  113. It’ll help keep me from having to give Hertz money. I love National – I wish they were a publically traded company because I would invest in National!

  114. Complimentary Sirius XM radio in all Executive aisle vehicles would be a great benefit! Thanks, Gary for arranging the giveaway.

  115. I had Executive status once, now just emerald club. For me, that would mean I could pick ANY car on the lot. PERK. Not just the ones that are on the emerald aisle. I want to point out that I tend to pick, smart fuel efficient vehicles. Often the ones on the executive section tend to be suv’s, but occasionally you find a gem.

  116. One thing that would make the car rental process easier is skipping the line to pick up my car. I promise I’m not shilling for National, but I love the idea of picking my own car, loading up, and heading out!

  117. it’s always good to get the nicer car at the same price. i have executive status, but not elite one right now. but it will be nice if they will put the hybrid cars in the executive selections.

  118. The best improvement for car rentals would be an option to have your gas refilled at true market prices at the exact quantity you use (no pre-purchase of half-tanks, etc.), after returning the car.

  119. Executive Elite rental car status would be the perfect antidote to relieve the stress from the delays and hassells of the flight experience

  120. I don’t use National that often. Would love to try it with the Executive Elite status.

  121. Rental car elite status would be great for all those moments when I need to dump a trunkload of dead hookers off in the wilderness.

  122. National is pretty much becoming my first choice. My strategy has been opening three windows – Hertz-Avis and National, and comparing. not only do I usually end up with National, but choosing the car I want is easy as possible and it is the only chain that I have never had a hassle with when returning the car. Here’s hoping!

  123. I am already an Emerald Club member and was able to use it for the first time this month in Lihue. I felt like a VIP. I can only imagine what Executive Elite status would be like. I’ll be taking a few more trips in the near future and would love to see what this would be like!

  124. To me, the one thing that would make the rental car experience more enjoyable is if you were able to some way see the cars scheduled to be on the lot 24 hours before kind of like Continental’s Flight status updates with Car type, #, miles driven and features.

  125. I use National for work travel and never really understood the differences/advantages for each program, so thanks for sharing. Would be great to go from emerald to executive elite.

  126. Executive elite status would make it easy for me to go straight to the aisle and pick the best car I want without waiting in line.

And hope this will help me for upcoming trips in Hawaii island hopping and SoCal. Thanks!

  127. I’d enjoy the upgrades in car classes, which comes in handy for a little baby boy and his car seat. Thanks for doing this Gary!

  128. Elite Status would make it possible me to leave a smaller environmental footprint by getting a rental instead of catching a flight on the shorter trips.

  129. Erm. Enterting 🙂 I’d like to have a choice of any car on the lot. Helpful for trips with friends (nice car) versus one alone (fuel efficient).

  130. Rental car experience with National is very good anyway. Easy pick from the emerald isle and very, very quick returns. It would only be better if they had more ‘in town’ offices, instead of mostly airport locations.

  131. Getting out is usually a breeze. Checking back in, especially when running late for a flight can be a hassle. In the era of GPS, RFID, smart phones, and myriad other tech, no one should have to wait in a line of cars…

  132. I would love the status because I am tall, and it would be helpful to be able to pick a car with headroom.

  133. Another great gift, Gary. I like my cars, so the ability to pick my own would be a treat.

  134. I am already an Emerald Aisle member and love National and would live to try executive privileges. I always go for the nest looking car…which usually is in the executive aisle! So, please pick me!

  135. National Haiku for Executive Elite:

    Executive Aisle
    Any car awaits your choice
    Take that, red Avis!

  136. Would love to have this status to pick out some fancy top-flight cars I would otherwise never rent normally.

  137. Elite status is most beneficial for people like me who travel week in and week out and don’t want to spend anymore time waiting in line for a car rental. I would save about 30-45 min every week of waiting in line.
My biggest pet peeve with rental car companies is why do they still buy cars with manual windows. That in my opinion should not be allowed.

  138. Executive Elite status would be great so I could pick any car. Beach destination? Convertible! Family Trip? SUV!

  139. One thing that would make the rental car experience better for me would be for all fees and taxes to be disclosed in the price I’m quoted when I reserve.

  140. I’m on the road week in and week out. I’ve tried National before and it’s awesome. I’d love to see what benefits I would get from Executive Elite. Thanks!

  141. I enjoy using national, I have exec status already via Amex Plat and it comes in handy in certian places. Makes my spouse happy to pick the car out.

  142. I’d like them to start with this, once they reach the insurance section: Instead of, “Are you SURE you want to take insurance from your own insurance company instead of us?? I mean, I’ve heard things…”

Start with giving me the least expensive option pal, then move to ask me if I’ve got an Amex Plat (next cheapest insurance option), THEN sell me your snake oil high priced insurance policy (PER DAY).

    My $0.02.

  143. This is the furthest I’ve lived from an airport ever (1.5hrs) and would love to use this for trips to the city and airport instead of racking up thousands of miles on my own car.

  144. I’m a grad student traveling to several internships around the world this year, and this would make the worst part of the trips really enjoyable!

  145. I would use my rapidly accumlating free rental days on a roadtrip from my hometown. With Exec Elite, National claims they’ll bring the rental car to you. I want them to drop the car off at my house.

  146. I’d really like the guaranteed reservation with 24 hours notice. There are some cities/times where it’s very hard to get a car.

  147. I want my Executive status back! And I want minivans on the Executive aisle everywhere all the time!

  148. GPS and Bluetooth in all executive selection vehicles would make the experience much nicer.

  149. I will say the electric car such as leaf, volt will be awesome to have if they are in the free upgrade selections.

  150. I use the Emerald Aisle now to get all the room we can for our 15 month old and his associated “stuff.” Exec Elite would be even better!

  151. I’d divorce my wife and let her keep everything. Then I’d rent a different car everyday to help me get over the grief!

  152. I just completed a National rental at SAN, and the both the best and worst part was picking out the car… I couldn’t decide!

  153. I’d love to be able to rent a car that has some snacks and a chilled drink inside! Or at least a coupon for some free fast food on my way out. Thanks for this contest!

  154. I was very impressed with the selection of cars in the
Executive aisle at EWR last week (as compared to the regular Emerald aisle), so I would love to have that status.

  155. I would love to get some love at some rental company. Status would be a big plus making my travel life alot easier.

  156. I used to use National with my old company, now its primarily Hertz. Here is a pet peeve, with some companies when trying to rent in certain locations at certain times, even with elite status, a one day rental is ‘not available’ for a certain date yet if you ask a weekly rental is ‘available’ starting on the same pickup date.

  157. I already miss my National Exec status… I’ve been relegated to Avis (due to work rules), and I fell to “regular” National level. I miss the Exec aisle!

Keep up the great posting – I really enjoy following your travel writing.

  158. National Car Rental Emerald Executive Elite status will make my collections more completed.

  159. Executive elite gives me a great choice of upgraded vehicles without waiting in line. Definitely a big timesaver.

  160. I hate hassling with rental cars; anything that can speed up that process would be fantastic.

  161. National Is my favorite car rental company by far! To have elite status would make an already special experience something spectacular; I can only imagine. I know there could not be a happier winner than me!!!!!

  162. The guaranteed 24-hour reservation ability would be great, as oftentimes I am interested in renting a car but the local airports show as sold out.

  163. “one thing would make the car rental experience better for you?”

Not having to interact with humanoids at all during the pickup & return process.

  164. We travel frequently but not enough to get the 85 days/year. We’d love to finally be able to try Emerald Elite!

  165. I use National and have had elite status in the past. Love their service and would love to have it again.

  166. Wow! I’ve never seen so many comments on any travel blog.

I wish I can choose my own car.

  167. I plan on traveling a lot this year for business and this would be extremely valuable to me!

  168. I love you National. I reserved mid-size car and got SUV (Ford Escape) from Toronto Aisle Service. Very good on gas and took advantage of the space to take my family around all the time to parks, shopping centers, beaches and long drives to visit families and friends.

I also booked a mid-size car for one whole month and got fully loaded Ford Edge with huge touchscreen LCD on the center console and 2 good sized LCDs on the driver console. I love that, it’s high tech. everything is just digital on the color LCD and the car looks awesome, every friend of mine goes WOW when they glance at it. Oh also it comes with premium sound system (25% of volume and my kids are complaining already of loud music). very good bass and very loud speakers (just like a night club and I am not kidding – try it yourself)

I can even exchange this car with another from the aisle anytime during the month, now that’s amazing.

  169. I am a National Emerald Aisle member. I have 27 days rental in 2011 and should reach 40 days before the end on November 2011. I will be much happier with National when they finalize their Modification Dept. from India back tho the great USA,

  170. My best experience with National was at good old Chicago Ohare. No other rental company had cars and I had to get to Springfield IL by 6am in the morning. Flight cancelled at ORD. National had my drive in the “Emerald Aisle” —No Reservation—But they had cars for thier members. YA BABY –$500K sale next day. Emerald will always be my choice. They truly are different and provide value to “Road Warriors”..Thanks National

  171. this is a great program…one of the best in the industry!…ensures great customer service and hence loyalty
