Signup for Accor Hotels’ Loyalty Program at the Top Tier Platinum Level

Reader Rob passes along a new link to sign up for Le Club Accorhotels at the Platinum (top tier) level.

Note that the signup page is just a signup page, no indication on that page that accounts will start at the Platinum level, but indeed it’s currently working.

This is marketed to a specific group, I’m not sure which one, but anyone should be able to use the link and keep the status. At some point soon the link will stop awarding Platinum status and there won’t be any advance warning, but for now it’s working. These offers seem to pop up every couple of months or so.

Even if you don’t frequently stay at Sofitel, Novotel, Pullman, Mercure, and other related properties frequently, you never know when you might find yourself in one and having top tier status can’t hurt.

Platinum status usually requires 60 nights or 25,000 points earned. It offers double points and at Sofitel, Pullman and MGallery hotels a complimentary drink and welcome gift, and subject to availability and on request 4pm late checkout and an upgrade.

They’ll only let you sign up for one account per email address, so if opening a new account use a new email address. Some then combine their old and new accounts to preserve their points while elevating themselves to the new status.

The program isn’t among the more rewarding, but given that it’s top tier it can also be useful for status matching to other hotel programs. A status match offer like Best Western generally has can be obtained without demonstrated stay activity attached to the top tier elite account.

I do like that the chain runs true 50% off (prepaid) sales every few months as well, and having some status is better than not having status…

  1. thanks! this worked. i’m not sure how long the status is good for, but it says my (0) points expire 02/10/2013 — i’ll assume until then.

  2. Well I got this note when trying — and it’s 5am EST now:

“The given promotion code is not usable anymore”

And so maybe it dont work no more but thanks anyway

  3. I get “Invalid identification. Please try again or use another e-mail address.”

  4. Thanks Gary….Accors has a HUGE presence in Brazil… This would help me tremendously for World Cup 2014 thru out brazil … But I doubt this platinum status will last till then
