  1. this consolidation is killing competition, it’s a true oligopoly now… what’s next, Alaska/Hawaiian?

  2. interested in gary’s prediction of a timeline

when will one no longer be able to redeem a star award on
usair , assuming this goes through? thanks

  3. Not the outcome I had wished for. 🙁

The first upside I see to this is that my Firm may add additional “preferred” airlines into our program now that we’re effectively losing one (2 becoming 1), so perhaps we’ll get a JetBlue or Virgin America to start trying out.

  4. According to USAirways and American’s websites, it will be done next month.

I hope this does mean I cant book one more 90K NA award.
