British Airways is running a business class sale between the US and Europe. (HT: No Mas Coach) As usual, the sale is stackable with the $400 AARP premium cabin discount and with the 10% Chase discount.

In my opinion these stackable British Airways sales are the best value in transatlantic travel, they are worth proactively having an AARP membership (though you can sign up instantly for that) and an eligible Chase credit card.

1. You have to be an AARP member and log into your account, this discount is why I pay my fee to be an Associate (‘under 50’) member. Go through the AARP portal, then book your tickets, the premium cabin sale pricing will come up with the appropriate AARP discount embedded.

2. Eligible Chase credit card holders can use promo code CARDOFFERU from the co-brand Visa to take 10% off.

This isn’t the cheapest we’ve seen, but there are ways to get British Airways business class (upgradable to first) for less than $1500 per person.

British Airways has a sale running for travel December 10 through January 14 and June 20 and August 29. The AARP discount is currently valid only for travel through March. So it stacks with the first portion of this sale.

The great sale is for 2 passengers traveling together, and you can fly for under $1500 roundtrip in business.

It makes no sense to redeem miles for British Airways business class when you can straight up buy the tickets for a few hundred more than the fuel surcharges you’d pay on an award — and earn miles and elite qualifying miles (and dollars if crediting to American and flying in 2017) to boot.

BA’s business class isn’t the most advanced, but it’s true lie flat, and this is a phenomenal deal. It makes my AARP membership easily worthwhile.
