A wild bachelorette party got so out of control on Thursday night on Ryanair flight FR9898 from Liverpool in the UK to Alicante, Spain that the pilot threatened to divert the aircraft.
Crew stopped selling alcohol on the flight and the pilot decided to continue on to their final destination, where police met the plane and took the women off — to a round of applause from other passengers who booed the women as well.
The women on the flight “acted like creatures..drinking alcohol, screaming and swearing.”
‘On the flight, babies and small children were sitting watching that disgusting behaviour. No way to start a holiday.
‘I could not even get up to go to the toilet because the girls would be in the aisle, fighting and shouting in each other’s faces.
But one of the women offered a full throated defense on Facebook of her “alcohol-fueled antics” as just “having fun”

This sort of behaviour is not unusual on RyanAir flights; and sometimes they encourage it by continuing to sell alcohol to people who are clearly already drunk. Provides them additional revenue.
By American standards, these women would have been considered smartly dressed and somewhat sophisticated.
@Pat, not sure what American women you’re comparing them too. But hopefully they’re more attractive and if they are, let me know where.
We got way more drunk and rowdy than this when we were doing it for my friends bachelor party, but his dad had enough sense to charter us a Challenger 300.

By american standards, are you referring to their standards in aviation transportation, which their security misses almost 100% dangerous items? Or maybe their standards in aviation services which completely ignores smiles, courtesy and common sense while always complaining about wage and work hours?
If I saw that face when I looked in the mirror, I’d get drunk too.

In England, this is what you call a Hen Party. It has gotten out of hand. I was on a train from Glasgow to Manchester in First Class and encountered a Hen Party in the small F compartment.
Hen packs invade bars and cause a commotion.
In England, there are more eligible women than men, so matronly woman had little chance of getting married, so they large groups of middle aged woman get together to have fun. Not really an issue, just that they do occasionally get out of hand and can be annoying in some cases.
UK folks seem to over indulge when on vacation in Europe. To the point of being obnoxious.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that Ryanair is accepting cows as emotional support animals and feeding them booze.
Two interesting observations of mine over the past four days:
1) Actually got on a Ryanair plane for the first time ever. Mid-afternoon on a Wednesday. Did survive Dublin-Glasgow.
2) Witnessed two roving hen parties here in Edinburgh last night (Saturday). Use of the phrase “acted like creatures..drinking alcohol, screaming and swearing” is not at all misogynist but actual-factual.
