Every so often American seems to offer the opportunity for 10% discount codes on purchase of airfare through their marketing partners.
Everyone who ‘votes’ in the Century in the Making sweepstakes by September 12 will receive a 10% discount code valid for purchase and travel through October 26.
Just signed up and voted. Email states:
“This discount may be used for ticket purchases made between June 7, 2010, and September 7, 2010, for travel between June 7, 2010, and September 7, 2010”
I guess it is not really October 26th which means this is of no value to me since the next ticket I am buying if for mid-October.
And mine says: “This discount may be used for ticket purchases made between April 19, 2010, and July 19, 2010, for travel between April 19, 2010, and July 19, 2010.”
I guess I need a time machine?
Same here, I voted yesterday and received the coupon for travel between April 19 and July 19th.
Can anyone get to American Airlines and notify them?
It’s a scam, social engineering, that is the reason AA does not know about it and you are asked to provide your AAdvantage number and other identifying info. Please notice that there isn’t a way for you to contact the company. I’ve reported the scam site to AA, Tony Fay’s organization which is behind the real efforts to promote the N. Texas Super Bowl and the Federal Trade Commission. Please do not expose your personal information. Thanks
Thanks. Unfortunately does not apply to multi-city trips.
