Cathay Pacific Will Introduce a New First Class

Many airlines are eliminating first class products, with the advent of amazing business class seats —
even true suites like Delta and Qatar are bringing to market.

Cathay Pacific even introduced their Airbus A350s with business class as the top cabin. So it’s worthwhile news that Cathay Pacific will introduced a new first class for the Boeing 777-9X.

They aren’t sure whether the new first class will feature enclosed suites, because according to their research passengers like a ‘society’ element (see and be seen).

And it’s not clear how many seats the cabin will feature, the current Boeing 777 layout has two rows of three seats each or a total of six.

Current Cathay Pacific First Class

At least they’re not getting rid of first class, recognizing the need on routes like Hong Kong – London, Frankfurt, Paris, and New York. Expected delivery: 2021
