IHG Rewards Club is out with its new promotion and to the surprise of absolutely no one on earth it’s called Accelerate.
Registration required for the earning period between September 1 and December 31. You’ll be able to take advantage of a targeted set of offers — various tasks that earn various levels of points. My offer is to earn up to 40,650 points.
I can earn the full 40,650 points in just 2 stays provided they’re strategic: 5 nights at 2 Holiday Inns that include 2 Saturday nights, at least one of which that’s a cash and points stay and 1 that’s at least 4 nights long.
Since each person may receive a different Accelerate offer, what’s yours? (I’ve seen other offers including double points up to 40,000 points and 37,200 based on stays across brands and co-brand credit card spend.)

This requires that I stay at least 9 nights. Way too many night for me to get the full bonus. I don’t travel enough for my job for this to work for me. Pass.

I might have the lamest promo out there…stay one night and get 1,000 bonus points. That’s it. Nothing else.

I can get 72,000 points with three stays totaling five nights. It would have to be three different brands, two two-night stays on weekends, and one as a cash and points stay. I’l do it if I find situations for needed stays that cover most of it.
One of my offers is 5,000 bonus points for renewing my Ambassador membership….but I just did it LAST NIGHT while booking a stay in Singapore for November (I needed to renew and the offer of 15,000 bonus points swayed me to go ahead and get it done).
On the plus side, I am hoping that my previously booked stays in Singapore and Thailand will net me 11,000 bonus points…..

Also got only the 1,000 points for one stay. I’m insulted that they think this would move me to book with them based on that. Like the previous poster pointed out…. it’s worth exactly $5.
But can you use a single stay to qualify for 2 bonus points offers? eg Points & Cash (4,500 pts bonus), and with the same stay, this counts as one of the 3 brands (24,400 bonus points)?
