TM Travel World explains how to take $80 off a Lufthansa flight purchased by August 11 for travel through December 30.
First, download a voucher.
Then make your booking on the Lufthansa website and
enter the number during the final step of the booking process. On the payment page, enter the voucher number into the field “Enter your Voucher:”. Be sure to click the “Apply Voucher and reduce Fare” link.
One voucher per reservation, so if multiple people are traveling you may want to book separately (to each get the $80 discount). A US credit card is required for the booking and travel must originate in the US (at a Lufthansa gateway, naturally).

I have previously used LH e-vouchers that were ostensibly geographically restricted, but when applied to any LH itinerary, they took.
It made for some very cheap travel in SE Asia, where LH operates a few short tags at already low prices.
I have not played with this offer, but don’t immediately assume they are good ex-US only…
You are absolutely correct. The voucher works on an intra-EU fare too. Now I feel like a fool that I only got one. I meant to play around yesterday but work kept me busy.
Also, this coupon will only discount the base fare. So for example, the KUL-BKK $124 rt tag-on, can only be reduced to ~$100 because the rest is just taxes.
