  1. Now would be a good time to watch the youtube video “United Breaks Guitars”

  2. I’m fine using my tablet on shorter flights (either stream their content or downloads from a streaming service). Eliminating seatback IFE on TA or TP would affect (slightly on the margin) my choice in carriers.

  3. > “your Somalian employees”

Are they actually United employees? I thought baggage handlers would be airport employees.

  4. The Orkin list was interesting – the mayor of each city in the top 10 was endorsed by the same political party. Coincidence or correlation? Has one party found a way to capture the bedbug vote? Or are they stuffing the ballot box with bedbugs? These are the things that keep conspiracy theorists up at night.

  5. I am a big fan of Somalians. They add a lot to this country. She seems like an active nutcase. How would she feel if someone talked about United’s white employees using exactly the same language ? My guess is she would be up in arms. What a loser person.

  6. As far as I can tell, United doesn’t fly directly to any Somalian airports. So it looks like that the employees in Somalia are not employees of United. The most common partner airline is Ethiopian Airlines for that route but there are others. It is foolish to send expensive equipment in luggage that can be rifled through. It the camera is too heavy to carry on as a single unit, partially disassemble it into pieces light enough to carry separately.

  7. $8k camera in checked luggage? In Somalia? Who does that. Literally asking for it to be stolen.

  8. Never ‘check’ anything you don’t mind losing. I’d carry my DSLR in my hands before giving that to anyone, carry-on, checked, or otherwise.

    >Are they actually United employees? I thought baggage handlers would be airport employees.

Shh. You’re disrupting the racist dog whistle.

  10. Foolish to ever put a 8k camera in your luggage that is checked in. I travel immensely for my job there is zero in my luggage that I can’t part with if someone steals. Anything of value goes on my carry on. Treat whats in your luggage with the same rules a parking garage.
