The American Express Centurion lounge LAX opens on Monday. Their new Charlotte lounge has only been open less than two weeks and they’re already ready with another one.
New Centurion Lounge LAX
The new lounge is nearly 14,000 square feet and in the Tom Bradley International terminal, which is reasonably connected to American’s terminal 4. (You can walk from other terminals as well.) Lounge hours are 6:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m..

The lounge’s chef is Nancy Silverton, 2014 James Beard Foundation Chef of the Year known for her breads and La Brea Bakery. She has Osteria Mozza and Nancy’s Fancy gelato and sobet. The lounge’s menu includes “Mozza Meatballs, Roasted Beets with Horseradish Vinaigrette, Farro Salad with Fresh Hers and Feta, Butterscotch Budino and more.”

While furniture will look familiar to Centurion lounge regulars, this one seems more locally designed than most. They offer ‘Sunrise and Moonrise tranquility rooms’ with bright and dim lighting.

Like the Dallas and Miami lounges there’s an Exhale spa that they say will offer services “centered around energy and light – like Light Therapy, Reiki and ear reflexology -to help alleviate the stress of travel.”

Accessing Centurion Lounges
Platinum Card® from American Express and Business Platinum Card® from American Express cardmembers have access to American Express Centurion lounges.
Platinum cardmembers may enter Centurion lounges within 3 hours of scheduled flight departure, or prior to a connecting flight. While Centurion (Black) cardmembers can use these lounges on arrival (after flights), Platinum cardmembers cannot.
Each Platinum cardmember is entitled to two complimentary guests. Children under 2 do not count towards this total. Lounges request proof of age (and accept a lap infant boarding pass for this).
Centurion Lounge Locations
There’s a growing network of lounges already open, with even more in the queue. American Express In addition to Los Angeles, Centurion lounges currently open are Dallas Fort-Worth, Las Vegas, Miami, New York LaGuardia, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, Philadelphia, Hong Kong, Charlotte and ” target=_blank>Phoenix.
There are lounges confirmed to be ‘in the chute’ in Denver, New York JFK, and London Heathrow.
