- This is one of the things I really do love from United Airlines. Last year United rolled out ConnectionSaver to help customers make connecting flights when their inbound aircraft is delayed. 25% of United’s flights are expected to arrive 10 minutes early so their computers will decide when it makes sense to hold a flight for connecting passengers.

- Pre-departure Covid-19 testing for domestic flights would be mostly useless (shutting the barn door after the horse is out, pushes people to travel by car which is more dangerous, and people still do travel and spread virus). Still, the CDC was pushing for it. Once the White House rejected the idea, the CDC said they’re not recommending it.
This is politicizing ‘science’ but response to a public health crisis is political because it involves tradeoffs, which ‘the science’ is poorly equipped to manage.
Politicizing science is a good thing….said nobody with a shred of credibility. Still clinging to the idea you are one of the world’s top travel experts? Would love to see the list of mental midgets (little people) in that pool.

Um, yeah, Trump politicized Covid-19 from step 1, don’t blame anyone else for this pandemic. It is all on him!
So these tests work fine for the UK to reduce the variants from Portugal, for Germany to reduce them from the Czech republic, yet somehow magically they doesn’t work for Texas to reduce them from Florida? Don’t you realize how idiotic this is?
It’s the politics that are continuing to keep these useful scientific tests from being implemented — and keep holding the US behind.
