NotiFlyr, which was the source of last week’s huge business class Europe deal, now has one for those who want to save cash and figure a hop across The Pond is too short to shell out for a flat bed.
What makes this deal is that you can fly from many U.S. cities – Chicago, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, New York, Boston and Miami – to much of Europe, for a price in the $300s roundtrip and it isn’t basic economy – the fare includes a seat assignment and a checked bag. And it’s on TAP Air Portugal, a Star Alliance airline, so you can even credit the miles to Air Canada if you wish.
With this fare you can fly to Manchester, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Dublin, Madrid, Milan, Nice, Oslo, Rome, Paris, Stockholm, Venice, Vienna and more – even Moscow or Casablanca.
And if you wish – fly into one European city, and back from another:
Or make it a ‘double open jaw’ out of one city in Europe, back from another, returning to a different city in the U.S.
A Saturday night stay is required, A free stopover is permitted in Lisbon.
While the fare has a $300 change fee and is non-refundable, the first change is allowed for free if made 3 or more days prior to outbound travel. This sale ends July 27.

The one caution is that TAP Air Portugal has been terrible with refunds during the pandemic. If things get bad again with Covid in Europe, air travel dries up, and TAP cancels its flights – expect a credit rather than a refund. You’ll find yourself fighting via credit card issuer and Department of Transportation to get your money back. This is hardly the base case, but something to be aware of.
I don’t know about you Gary but my personal experiences with TAP have been horrible. Even at tis price I’m not a taker. But that’s just me.

They had the same sale and canceled my ticket then I booked with United! Great because they are having a ground strike and can’t even pay those people for canceled flights and miss baggage for 3 to 4 days! Dont book with them at all united will mostly match that price anyway.
I think there’s a mistake in your headline. It should read “Lose your bag with TAP Portugal for only $300!”
Doesn’t necessarily make it a bad deal but LIS is all remote stands with bus to the terminal — and out again. Makes for an imperfect transfer experience.
The O and T booking codes come with few to no miles credit in the Star Alliance programs of greatest relevance to me.
TAP is incredibly hard to work with when things go wrong. They showed their true colors during the pandemic, going as far as shutting off their phone lines even to travel agencies. Could not recommend it any stronger to avoid that flying garbage.
Frankly for this price I don’t care if they never refund the money. If I was worried about losing $300 I would be in pretty bad shape.
So cheap well worth buying a few speculative tickets and problem eating the cost of plans change.
Then donate some money to them to pay their baggage people their back pay.
I haven’t travelled with them before but am willing to give it a try at that price. However, the pricing I’m getting is lot higher than in the $300s. Am I doing something wrong? I was looking to book NYC- MAD with a stopover in LIS and back to NYC.
