News and notes from around the interweb:
- 1000 free Singapore Airlines miles
- The legitimate beef here is Delta sending out elite bag tags that aren’t even personalized. Delta’s ‘eco-conscious elimination of plastics’ is disingenuous in the extreme in any case.
On my way to earning higher @Delta status and this plastic waste showed up in my mailbox. So much talk about sustainability and being green, so why send these plastic bag tags? They serve no purpose; they don’t even have my name or Skymiles number. They’re simply plastic waste. pic.twitter.com/De2QkVnU9f

- More corruption in airport concessions but this time nowhere near a Delta hub.
- First class ‘floating beds’ with seats anchored to aircraft walls rather than floors. (HT: @crucker)
- Passengers behaving badly, but airports should do better too.

- Ex-Alitalia employees protest for the right to operate poorly and lose money on someone else’s dime forever.

Why would airports do better when the mess was created by, wait for it, passengers behaving badly?
Those Teague finishes look like the most genuinely innovative in a while – hopefully FAA OK with it – I’m guessing regulators / safety for fires reason for the clinical look of most cabins?
I can’t imagine a seat fixed to the wall would meet crash or even turbulence resistance, the walls are not designed with that kind of strength.
The airport is supposed to be cleaned regularly and pax shamed for littering.
Oh, forgot, shame is so 20th century…..
When a travel provider sends me plastic bag tags, I write my name and contact phone on the back with a Sharpie.
