  1. On the roaches, couldn’t have said it better than one of the top Reddit commenters: “Man, these emotional support animals are getting out of hand.”

*incoming* Tim to remind us that roach infestations can happen on any airline, not just Delta. (We know.)

  2. Unfortunately, planes are perfect places for creepy crawlers. Easy for them to get into, food particles, nice and dry, etc. Unless there’s almost daily spraying of chemicals the little critters are getting in.

  3. Even though Delta roaches are non-union, it should be noted that Delta only uses Premium Roaches on their flights.

  4. It looks like a G e r m a n cockroach to me but it may be an A s i a n cockroach since it flies.

  5. BTW, I use c-o-c-k-roach instead of roach since roaches are what are left over from smoking blunts.

  6. @jns — Oh, they call came through, bud. You may have a new record for most consecutive comments on this site. As the prior trophy-holder, I’ll figuratively hand it over to you… *gestures*

  7. Mheh, roaches have roamed the planet long before we got here and will be here long after we manage to destroy ourselves. They don’t bother me. Exposure to them is part of developing a high-performing immune system, LOL!

  8. @Parker — And, if you’ve ever seen Snowpiercer, depending on which end of the train you’re on, they’re also a great source of ‘protein.’ *shudders*

  9. Oh, and speaking of Delta, the ‘Route Race’ is live; you can now login to your SkyMiles accounts and ‘vote’ on their new route… which is ‘totally’ not predetermined! *wink*

  10. yes, 1990, roaches do happen everywhere every so often just as some people do dumb things with their feet no matter where they are.

given that DL flies to both airports in Chicago, it’s a surprise there aren’t more unwanted live creatures.

    yes, shots fired.

can’t we just have good-ole American roaches?

  11. When the filter gets overactive, it makes me over reactive until I have posts that are not under review. I have had long posts that didn’t have anything objectionable but were completely discarded so I try to find out what the objection is. This filtering was just flat out silly. No editing, no deleting so it is what it is.

  12. @Tim Dunn — I tend to prefer the MDW roaches over the ORD roaches mostly because they’re closer to the city… just like in NYC, the LGA rats are shorter drive for most, as opposed to the JFK or EWR rats…

  13. @jns — While some on here think there’s some random ‘limit’ to have many comments one can make… nope, no limit, no problem, no worries… say what you wanna say, don’t self-censor, this is a welcome place (so long as you can outsmart that automatic filter!)

  14. @jns — And because of the word you were held up on earlier today, we cannot even say the place where the pilots sit… you know, the one in the front of the aircraft… first four letters of which are like a rooster… the c—pit! *gasp*

  15. @O’Hare Is My Second Home — I know that was in-jest; however, let’s not become the Hutu calling the Tutsi ‘roaches’ on here, lest we forget.
