Most airlines don’t show availability of awards on all of their partners on their own websites. You’d think you could type in where you’re flying from and where you’re going and get a list of available flights, but that’s often not the case.

That’s why it pays to call in addition to searching online — the best thing is to find award space yourself and then call, asking for exactly the flights you already know are available.

Jennifer Aniston is back in a new ad for Emirates. They teased it yesterday with a mystery, who was the man in her seat?

After showering and getting dressed, Jennifer Aniston returns to her first class suite to find a young boy sitting there. They chat, and she takes him to the Emirates bar for a juice on the way to bringing him back to his family seated back in coach. The look on the boy’s father’s face is priceless when Jennifer Aniston shows up with his son. He doesn’t seem too happy when his wife arrives on the other side of the aisle at the same time!

Incredible: Watch Multiple Lightning Strikes Go Through a Plane, Continue to Fly Safely

There’s some pretty incredible video of a Wow Air Airbus A330-300 flying through a lightning storm enroute from Iceland to Paris on Monday.

While on average it’s said that every commercial plane is struck by lightning at least once a year, I believe it’s been over 40 years since a crash has been attributed to a lightning strike. The fuselage of a plane will conduct electricity and allow it to trasmit from the strike and generally out the tail.

Which is Better: American Airlines vs British Airways Business Class?

British Airways has a one minute spot with two kids debating the merits of American Airlines and British Airways business class.

American and British Airways (along with Finnair and Iberia) have an anti-trust immunized joint venture across the Atlantic, which allows them to share revenue and coordinate schedules and pricing. They are (or in theory should be) largely indifferent as to whose metal you fly across the Pond.

So naturally the argument in this spot is that both are awesome! Here’s the truth.
