Former American Airlines Flight Attendants Union Head Found To Have Misappropriated Funds

Former American Airlines flight attendants union head Bob Ross has been barred from serving in any leadership position of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants for life by an arbitrator for misappropriating member dues. Ross was President of the union from April 2016 until March 2018.

The arbitrator found he improperly had the union lease him an apartment and rent him a luxury car for months, and – it appears – pay for personal meals and expenses as mundane as toilet paper.

Forget Credit Card Applications, Airline Hands Out Medicine Samples To Passengers Inflight

Since American Airlines introduced first checked bag fees in 2008, U.S. carriers have come up with creative ways to monetize everything from seat assignments to seat backs and tray tables. Whether they’re advertising to passengers in the inflight entertainment or passing out credit card applications, there’s little about the journey that isn’t monetized.

U.S. carriers have nothing on their Indian counterparts. Low cost carrier SpiceJet has teamed up with that country’s pharmaceutical industry to pitch medicinal supplements to passengers, offering free samples like at Costco hoping that one you try you’ll buy.

Former Trump Campaign Chair Removed From Emirates Flight Over Revoked Passport

Paul Manafort was removed from Sunday’s Emirates flight from Miami to Dubai while he attempted to travel on a revoked passport.

Manafort chaired the Trump presidential campaign in the summer of 2016, and under his leadership had support for a free and democratic Ukraine removed from the Republican platform. He was accused of providing internal polling data to Russian intelligence working in Ukraine, and had previously lobbied for former pro-Russian Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych as well as former dictators of Zaire, Mongolia, and the Philippines.

Wild: Man Attacks Police Officers At Salt Lake City Airport Before Surrendering

A week and a half ago at the Salt Lake City airport, a man walked up to an airport police officer – and punched him in the head. On March 12, a 33 year old man’s first interaction with two officers was to drop his carry on bag, punch one of them, and then try to hit the other.

He had the presence of mind to know what he was doing – and what was coming next. So he dropped right to his knees on his own and placed his hands behind his head for arrest. Here’s both airport surveillance camera footage and an officer’s body cam footage of the incident.
