News and notes from around the interweb:
- Up to 31% discount on some Star Alliance redemptions using Avianca LifeMiles booked by June 19. (HT: One Mile at a Time)
That includes Chicago, Houston, Seattle and Los Angeles to Taipei; Los Angeles and San Francisco to Hong Kong; as well as Los Angeles to Seoul and Shanghai.
- Qantas is offering discounted premium cabin award redemptions… as Airbnb listings
- When companies fail they often declare victory and move on. Airbus is rewriting the narrative of the Airbus A380 by attributing sales of the A350 to the prior A380 malinvestment>
- Lakeland, Florida is dangling subsidies at American in hopes of getting Charlotte service. The airport lacks commercial service today and is less than an hour’s drive to Tampa and an hour and fifteen minutes’ drive to Orlando.
- Now politician want to kick Chick-fil-A out of the Miami airport before it even opens
- Drunk woman attacks passengers. (HT: Jennifer Billock)
- Seems pretty clever to me, actually.
With Chick-fil-A I strongly disagree with their views but it is completely improper for government officials to use their power to attack private businesses that don’t share their political viewpoint. If private citizens don’t want to patronize this business that is their right, but these politicians are really overstepping their power and it is quite scary.
Bill,
Stating your tolerance bonafides prior to the word ‘but’ seems rather unnecessary relative to your main, and quite accurate, point.
All airport restaurants must be open seven (7) days a week. All the other BS is irrelevant.
