Marriott will give you 1000 points for answering a simple question on Twitter.
How high (in feet) is the crossbar on an @NFL goal post? Answer with #RewardsPoints by 8pm EDT on 10/29 & score 1,000 points if you get it. pic.twitter.com/1WETiyq4vU

Your Marriott Rewards and Twitter accounts need to be connected of course, but they give you points for that too.
For the Googlely-challenged they’re looking for ’10 feet #RewardsPoints’.

Bear in mind that points earned via social don’t extend the expiration date of your account. And also that Marriott points transfer 3:1 into Starwood Preferred Guest.
Appreciate your head’s up and reminder on these
I’ve posted on 4/4 of the last ones, and I haven’t received any points. #yoursocialmediastrategysucksmarriott
It seems like you have to give a third-party app access to your account. Marriott says it won’t post for you but the third-party app seeks permission to do just that!
@Andrew
Me too! I have done the last 3 and no points. That is one reason that I don’t stay in Marriotts. The other is I don’t care for Mormon influence.
Ditto on the points not posting even after following and Iinking. They ask you to link your Rewards account again but all you get is an error then redirect to Facebook. For this kind of aggravation and loss of privacy, they should be giving out way more than 1000 points.
@Peter – I didn’t realize that.
Wow; if they want to take over my account to endorse them, I agree with chancer. It’s going to take way more than 1,000 points for me to let them shill themselves with my account.
@Andrew 5000 points and counting for me. They’ve earned an occasional shill post from my account, though no such thing has happened yet.
You probably didn’t link your Marriott/twitter accounts correctly. That happened to me and now everything works. It’s free points, guys.
