Emirates Gold Status Match Looks To Capitalize On Italian Airline Chaos

The new Alitalia is handing out elite status to most anyone that wants it. Meanwhile Emirates is aggressively status matching anyone who reports living in Italy, in their Skywards account and to StatusMatch.com in their latest promotion.

12 months of Emirates Skywards Gold

Status available for select top-tier members of:

  • MilleMiglia
  • Lufthansa Miles&More
  • British Airways Executive Club
  • Air France Flying Blue
  • KLM Flying Blue

Like last year’s Frontier status match from StatusMatch.com this offer comes with a fee (79 Euros, their Aeroplan status match had the cost picked up by Canada’s tourism authority).

Emirates Gold should be provided within 72 hours, and key benefits include priority services and lounge access. Status lasts for 12 months from approval.

  1. @Gary: I signed up for the new Alitalia program. It does not provide me a FF# (very strange). How can it match status without the FF#? I wonder if anyone successfully matched or it was a scam to get your info?
