A two-night stay is required, and you must book at least a ‘Gold’ room (at least a suite at the Fairmont San Francisco). Expect to pay more for your room than you otherwise would — making this not a ‘free’ suitcase offer, but the best effective discount I’ve seen on Rimowa. The bag will list for nearly $600 but I’ve seen it sold for more like $450 and it appears you get two… even if you’re paying an extra couple hundred bucks a night, well worth it if a Fairmont stay at one of the above properties is in your plans.

Note that the suitcase is available only in Silver, and the rate can only be booked (and even priced) over the phone.

  1. Just called to check the rates at the Scottsdale Princess, the rate for this offer for a weekend night in August is a whopping $598+tax while the rate online was only $274!!! Basically you are paying for the Rimowa cases at retail, no thanks.

  2. Rates through this offer are full non-refundable deposit. Data point – Scottsdale Princess is $580 for the days I was considering. Advance non-refundable rate is $233.

  3. David – 320 each is a sizable discount on the bags. Not cheap, but well off of retail.

  4. I’m seeing rates as low as $149 online for the Scottsdale Princess – sounds like even those would be $400+?

  6. Same thing with Fairmont Battery Wharf. Luggage rate was $350 more a night. Some deal — this stinks.

    Rimowa rate is $670/night + tax vs $309 on website for Fairmont Gold, so $361 PER Rimowa carry-on, ouch

    I’ll pass, hopefully in future they have an more attractive pricing
