Citi® Hilton HHonorsTM Visa Signature® Card
- 50,000 points after spending $1,000 in the first four months
- $50 statement credit after you spend $50 or more on your first hotel stay within the Hilton HHonors Portfolio during the first six months of cardmembership
This is the best offer for the no annual fee Hilton card that I’ve seen.
I didn’t write about it when it first came out, but since it expires April 18th I thought it worthwhile to give some attention for those that can benefit from it.
This free card gives you free Hilton Silver status. Better to walk into Hilton as a silver than as a base member. First, because of the bonus points and in some cases free bottled water. But second and more importantly is that it serves as a reason not to be given the worst room on property, the one above the HVAC system or overlooking construction. That’s not a guarantee, but it helps.
It also entitles you to 5th night free on standard room awards, a benefit that only applies to Hilton elite members (silver status qualifies).
I think that the Citi Hilton Reserve Card is the best Hilton co-brand offering, better even than the American Express Surpass Card.
But this no-fee card is useful to have for the bonus, and to be eligible for fifth night free on standard room redemptions.

So you think the Citi Reserve card is better than Amex Surpass, but how about comparing their respective no-fee cards (Citi HHonors Visa Signature vs. Amex HHonors)?
I know you used to be able to get a second of these cards, but not sure if that rule has changed along with other Citi cards. I got my first 14 months ago. Can I apply again?
Marriott’s current 70k offer looks better to me.
Thanks for reminding me! Just got approved!
