A couple of weeks ago I highlighted fares West Coast – Hawaii from $246 roundtrip which is an amazing deal. I get more excited about East Coast – Hawaii deals. A few times a year you’ll see prices really drop.
Right now you can book Washington DC – Maui from $346 roundtrip.
Or New York – Maui from $339 roundtrip.
You should also find great fares from New York and DC to other Hawaiian islands as well.

@Gary, thanks for the heads up but I’m not finding these fares on Google flights (eg. RT EWR to OGG on 4/20/19 to 4/29/19). Also will this work using Chase’s portal (CSR)? Thanks!
Newark is in New Jersey. 🙂
@Gene, yea, but if you look at Gary’s screen shots, it’s EWR to OGG (EWR is commonly considered part of NY area for airports)
@ Tigris23 — I know, but as an ATL-based flyer I hate getting to EWR. I would prefer JFK…
I know this post highlights east coast departure. But I am looking at Midway and ORD departures during this promotional period, and I would hope to find similar prices or lower fares, but the least expensive fare I am finding is $518. I know that every market can be and is priced differently, but OTHER THAN THAT, with less miles to carry, what would be the rationales for not offering at least the same deal if not cheaper? Thanks for explaining that to me.
Hi. Kenneth, note that the flight from EWR has two stops. Our philosophy is to only charge a low price if we can jerk you around mercilessly. It’s what we call our 5 star appeoach.
