  1. I like good humor as much as anyone, but … “If you don’t like the jokes of the service today there are 6 ways out of this airplane, you feel free to use them, that is 2 forward exit doors, 2 over wing exits and 2 rear exit doors” is extraordinarily stupid. It’s basically an invitation, with audio/video and hundreds of witnesses, to use any of those exits, including emergency exits, whenever a passenger desires. It’s like the orange juice TV commercials of my youth when one of the orange juice companies was sued and sent invoices to pay for people’s trips to Florida because the narrator said (in the commercial) “come on down (to Florida), it’s on us.”

  2. If only there was something in the Bible about how one should treat foreigners and refugees.

    Oh, wait, there is:
    • Leviticus 19:33-34: “When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”
    • Exodus 22:21: “Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt.”
    • Deuteronomy 10:19: “You shall not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.”.

  3. Double miles for increased award availability. Imagine Delta doing that…
