IHG Releases 10% Hotel Discount And 1000 Free Points For Downloading App

IHG One Rewards has released their Cyber Week offers and some of them are actually quite attractive.

  • Room rate discount: normally the ‘member rate’ can be just a couple of percent and is generally beaten by AAA and other discounts. However they’re offering ‘an additional 10% off’ already-discounted Advance Saver and Book Early and Save rates for stays at least 7 days in advance that are booked by December 2, 2022 and complete by February 28, 2023.

There’s also a 20% off the fully cancellable rate plan “You Save, Kimpton Gives Back” at Kimptons booked by December 5 for stays through April 30, 2023, and U.S. Kimptons will donate $5 per room night booked under the rate to No Kid Hungry.

  • 1000 free points for downloading their app: for members downloading it for the first time between November 22, 2022 and December 2, 2022.

  • Co-brand card initial bonus offer coming: Between November 25 and December 9, 2022 the no annual fee version of the Chase IHG co-brand, the IHG® Rewards Traveler Credit Card, will offer 120,000 points after spending $2,000 on qualifying purchases made within the first three months of account opening. That’s a smaller offer than is usually available for their annual fee cards, but the biggest I can recall for the no annual fee product.

Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel, Miami Beach

If you need to book an IHG hotel, can’t hurt to price it now. And you may be willing to download their app for points worth $5-6.
