IHG Rewards Club: Register For Double Points And An Extra Bonus For Cardmembers

IHG Rewards Club is offering double points for stays October 1 through December 15 (registration required) with a kicker that’s 10,000 bonus points after first stay during the promotion period for co-brand credit card cardmembers.

The IHG® Rewards Club Premier Credit Card earns 125,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening, comes with a free night after each account anniversary year at eligible IHG hotels worldwide, and provides 4th night free on award redemptions plus Platinum status.

The first stay offer for cardholders is nice. Double points at this juncture though is barely table stakes, and doesn’t come close to comparing with Hyatt’s offer of triple points, quadruple points at resorts for World Of Hyatt Credit Card and Hyatt Credit Card cardmembers.

  1. Anyone having any luck getting IHG to extend the expiration on Chase anniversary reward nights?
    I keep getting what looks to be AI answers from their email CS and the group in SE Asia play like they don’t understand the request.
    I’m trying to get two Dec 2020 awards extended to Oct 2021.

  2. Have both the WOHyatt and IHG Premier credit cards, and agree Hyatt’s promo is better. IHG is incentivizing their cardholders to stay (just) once in order to collect the 10K points.
