IHG Rewards Club Selfie Points are Posting

Two weeks ago IHG Rewards Club launched a promotion to give you free points for posting a selfie. The photo of yourself was supposed to be ‘at home’ or ‘at an IHG hotel’.

Here’s what I posted. It’s kind of like my home.

And IHG bought it! I have to imagine there wasn’t much verification of location going on at the sort of scale they were receiving entries.

Members were told to expect points in two weeks. It’s been two weeks. And points are posting:

What sort of selfie did you post, and did you receive the points?

  1. Just got my points as well. And my photo wasn’t even a selfie per se, as I only showed my legs, not my face.

  2. Mine was at home – well, my previous home – but it showed only a cocktail sitting on my dining room table. Points posted.
