Uh mystery shopping hotels is not exactly top secret – I’ve done hotel shops all over California – LA, SF, etc. There are tons of companies that need good shoppers to do this work (especially indian casinos!). Unfortunately it’s usually a lot of work, although when you’ve done as many shops as my wife and I have it’s really second nature (you just end up evaluating and thinking about service everywhere you go and during every meal you eat). It’s fun work but it’s still work. No free lunch.
