  1. How important is housekeeping to you that you would be willing to pack up your stuff and vacate your room for hours every day just to have them replace the towels and change the sheets?

  2. @Doug – especially if consecutive nights don’t earn you multiple night credits. It’s not bad if you are at one of those Marriott properties with two brands in the same building; I pass my local Waltham, MA Fairfield/RI every day, and have seen at least one combo NYC.

  3. I’m from DC, so I never considered it a secret how National Airport name’s was changed. It’s just one of those things you’re in-the-know about or you aren’t, and that’s usually related to whether or not you’re from DC! (The irony of National being named after the man who fired all the striking air traffic controllers is always worth a grim chuckle.)

Also – maybe it’s just me, but I don’t mind non-daily housekeeping. For a long stay, I usually hang the Do Not Disturb sign and let housekeeping come in every other day. But then again I’m really tidy in a hotel room! After having a job where I traveled a lot, I just realized the best way to make sure I didn’t leave anything behind was to have a neat room to survey on your way out the door.

  4. @Chasmosaur – I always thought the bigger irony was naming what was at the time the biggest cost overrun of a federal office building to date after ronald reagan, personally.

  5. Gary you dumb shit. Did you delete my comment because I “exposed” your middle name? It’s public record.
