- “The World’s 10 Most Expensive Hotels” It’s amazing that there are several I wouldn’t want to stay at, and only two on my list of places I’ve sort of wanted to visit (one, at least, lets you redeem an obscene number of points for). The most salient point, I think, is that ‘most expensive’ isn’t inherently related to ‘best’ which of course is a much more subjective idea.

I love Map Happy’s article! Well written, some great points, and you are certainly an interesting person to profile.

I was doing a lot of Canadian travel about 5 years ago and stayed in Delta hotels a bunch. I especially liked Montreal and Victoria, BC. Hopefully Mariott doesn’t ruin the brand.
What’s with Sardinia and Sicily and these expensive hotels? Goes against the grain. Cote d’Azur I can see but some of these others? Seriously? The room in the one in Maui looks like a bad Marriott.
