- Should Dallas sell DFW airport to shore up its finances? With huge unfunded pension liabilities governments around the country may soon find themselves asking this question about their local airports and other infrastructure.
- Accor is introducing two elite levels above Platinum, including suite upgrades
- Soon non-elites may be able to earn preferred seat assignments on American Airlines.
Coming soon on AA; “seat coupons” whereby non-elites (and golds I guess) can earn coupons that can be applied to gain access to preferred seating w/o charge.

- I wonder where they got this idea?
Coming soon: when checking in for a flight that is already overbooked passengers will be asked by the app how much $ in vouchers would they take in order to be volunteers to take a later flight. Agents at the airport will be able to check the “volunteer list” …

@ Gary — Any word on whether Accor will grant LT top status to LT Fairmont Plats? If not, I will be requesting a refund for my LT Fairmont Plat package. If that is not refunded, I will file small claims in SF against the hotel and whoever it was that sold the package to me.
@ Gary — I am going to guess that they will do something for us LT Plats, maybe access to Fairmont Gold lounges and one suite upgrade per year. After all, it’s only about 90 people, and these benefits would drive revenue to them. We’ll see.
Since Dallas is only a co-owner of DFW they can maybe sell their interest in DFW but not all of it.
The US Government could retire the national debt if they sold off all assets but it will never happen.
This is such a stupid report.
Maybe Dallas could sell DFW to Fort Worth and they could change the name to Fort Worth Airport. That way people who live in Fort Worth would have more reason to be offended when folks say they are flying to “Dallas”
Either that or sell it to AA and rename it DFWAA or DAAFW or….
