• The real FAA car seat rules (not the ‘Delta version’)

• Cathay Pacific’s AsiaMiles website now lets you search award availability for Alaska, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Qantas and Qatar in addition to Cathay Pacific’s own flights. They have a nifty availability calendar, too.

• Air France considering 11-across seating in coach for its Airbus A380s. Remind me not to fly them.

• JetBlue is introducing mileage-earning on Icelandair. You can’t use TrueBlue points to redeem for Icelandair travel, however. Alaska Airlines gives you more miles for premium class travel on Icelandair than JetBlue will and you can redeem Alaska miles for Icelandair flights.

  

• TSA is like that guy in Times Square coming on to you with, “Hey buddy, wanna buy a watch?” At least based on how lost and confiscated items are being auctioned off.

  In the warehouse there were glass cases full of watches.

  “We’ve got Michael Kors, Citizen, Casino, Nixons,” said Bartholomew.

  They also had tables lined with sunglasses, from Ray-Bans to Tom Ford, they were items people left behind. There were also shelves filled sporting goods, including a lot of bats featuring spring training teams.
