The oneworld alliance has opened up its first ‘alliance lounge’ at Seoul Incheon airport. There’s been a tremendous amount of fanfare for this week and a half old space. A snake slithered around a flight from Bangkok to Phuket, Thailand on Saturday, and a flight attendant was forced into the role of herpetologist, capturing the reptile and calming the nervous cabin. Alaska Airlines originally offered to buy Hawaiian Airlines on August 9th, at $20 per share. The Hawaiian board wanted more money – in the $20s – even though the Alaska offer was already for double where the airline’s shares were trading.
