‘Stunk The Entire Flight’: American Airlines Flight Attendant Shocked By Foot Odor So Bad Passenger Hid Under A Blanket [Roundup]

News and notes from around the interweb:

  • American Airlines flight attendant who didn’t mind passenger feet finally gets it

I was working business class on a widebody international flight and this man took his shoes off. And the smell was immediate. …Just straight-up aggressive foot odor.

It hit me the second I walked past his seat. And it did not leave. It smelled the entire flight. I’m not even kidding or exaggerating. The entire flight. Every single time I passed his row it was a fresh wave. My stomach was literally turning. I was nauseous. I would hold my breath and speed-walk past him like I was doing a drill. Smile on my face, lungs empty, fighting for survival.

…There was a passenger a row ahead of him, window seat, who had her blanket pulled completely over her head almost the entire flight. And I am almost positive it was because of his feet. …At one point another crew member walked by his row and later came up to me like, “You did not warn me.” lmfaooooo.

  • The United AIrlines flight attendants union says they can get a deal done in March, they won’t agree to PBS scheduling but they’ll still get more money. This says to me that PBS is a stalking horse, meant as a grenade the union can defuse to claim victory so that other minor changes look bigger as a result.

I always enjoyed Andrés’s Jaleo, Café Atlántico (and minibar back when it was inside Atlántico) and Oyamel much more than Zaytinya. Mostly now I just experience their restaurants through Capital One Landings.
