News and notes from around the interweb:
- TIL: The New York Public library has free access Bloomberg terminals at this location. This wasn’t actually a secret, but I don’t think it is well known? They let you reserve access even in two-hour blocks.

- Several weeks ago I wrote that, sadly, the Hawaiian Airlines Austin – Honolulu flight would be The First Hawaiian Airlines Flight On The Chopping Block After The Alaska Airlines Merger. And so it is:

- GHA Discovery adds Titanium breakfast benefit at two more brands Pan Pacific and Parkroyal. Oddly, during my recent stay at The Lyle in DC they didn’t seem to know that Lore Group was part of this benefit but the staff was so good otherwise I did not care (and didn’t want breakfast anyway since I was saving my appetite for the new Capital One Landing at DCA.
- DFW Airport broke ground on new Terminal F which lacks its own check-in, security or baggage claim. They’re renovating the more than 50 year old terminal C, also, even though the airport’s CEO said it was a poor choice to do so.
The airport wanted to build the new terminal, giving them the capacity to replace terminal C, but American Airlines wouldn’t sign off on the cost – and then the project was delayed by the pandemic.
Construction of Terminal F is officially underway! ️ Airport officials & project partners gathered Tuesday to celebrate the groundbreaking at the site of the new terminal, which will become DFW’s 6th terminal and add 15 new gates to prepare for more historic growth. #DFWForward pic.twitter.com/9XOuII0f1Q

RE NY Public Library offers free access to $20,000 Bloomberg News terminals.
Yowza! This is old news – like literally >2 DECADES ago Bloomberg News terminals became available for free use at what was then called the Science, Industry & Business Library, or “SIBL.”
I used them regularly when I wrote columns & created data reports for PlaneBusiness Banter, 1999-2004.
