News and notes from around the interweb:
- Increasingly, travelers are women. This mirrors other disturbing trends for men.
I was surprised but there is a rate of change: it went from 50/50 to 1.2 women for every US man going abroad to 1.7 under 30 women vs men. Massive massive change in like a decade.

Nah, let’s stop the fake ‘gender’ or ‘generational’ culture war stuff; it’s a class war. The rich are traveling and living luxuriously, and they should; the poor are suffering, and they deserve better. Everyone, within reason, should get to experience ‘the world.’ Stop vilifying your fellow humans.
$299 for the status match. Ouch.
Women travel with alimony while men working on paying for it
As with many things, this is less about who is traveling as opposed to why they are traveling.
More women are getting college degrees, too. That helps pay for the travel. Women are not having kids or putting off having kids. That makes traveling easier. More women seeing the world seems to be a proper conclusion.
