United 50,000 Mile Signup Bonus Still Available for Business Card.

The United MileagePlus® Explorer Card had been running a 50,000 mile signup bonus as a promotional offer. That ended June 2, and the standard offer is back to 30,000 miles.

Something interesting I noticed though is if you click on the card offer you’ll see in the upper right hand corner of the screen a link that says, Are You a Business Owner?

Click on it and it will take you to an offer for the United MileagePlus Explorer Business Card that’s 50,000 miles after $2000 in purchases within 3 months and a $0 annual fee the first year (then $95).

I don’t have my own direct link to the United business credit card. But it’s a great offer, worth knowing about, and worth noting that it’s still available.

50,000 miles is a strong offer — after all, 57,500 miles is enough for a one-way business class to Europe on United. And you can easily top off a United account with points earned with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (40,000 points after $4000 spend within 3 months; 5000 more points for adding a no fee authorized user and making a purchase wihtin 3 months; $0 the first year then $95).

In fact the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card is a better card for earning United miles than the United business credit card is, since points from Sapphire Preferred transfer 1:1 into United (or a number of other airline and hotel programs) and it earns double points on travel (like airline tickets, hotels, rental cars, etc) and dining. As someone who travels regularly, Sapphire Preferred’s bonus categories pretty much match my daily spend.

  1. @ GarySteiger – I agree, the min spend is less, but you don’t get the $50 credit through those links (the previous public offer), I recieve them through the mai all the timel.

Gary L doesn’t get a refferal bonus from that link so don’t expect it to be posted by him.

  2. @bert I post credit cards with no referral bonus ALL THE TIME, I have never had a link for the United business card offer and indeed greater than a third of the card links I post don’t involve referral links even though I have links for Chase, Amex, Citibank, Barclays, and US Bank. So… you’re just wrong. And I am happy to see reader comments with links I may not be aware of, or ones that haven’t worked for me but that others may try.
