Unlock Instant IHG Silver Status or Double Your Elite Nights—Limited Time Offer

IHG One Rewards has a promotion where you can register for instant silver status or choose double elite qualifying nights, up to 15 nights.

These promotions say that they are targeted, but they do allow anyone to register, and they send you an email confirming that you’ve been registered. Therefore whether or not it sticks is probabilistic.

  • The benefits of silver are really just 20% bonus points-earning from stays, and that points don’t expire. If you never stay at IHG properties it may be a way to keep your points active.
  • Double elite qualifying nights are useful for someone actually seeking IHG status. Their Diamond level is harder to reach than before their program refresh a couple of years ago – but IHG went from lacking much in the way of status benefits to arguably offering the second-best elite program on paper.

I’m not an IHG regular at all. However I took advantage of a temporary Diamond status promotion in fall 2022, and got a fantastic free breakfast at a Kimpton. IHG does soft landings so that made me Platinum last year and Gold this year, really just useful to me because elite member points don’t expire so I don’t need to worry about activity in my account for a little bit.

Silver status runs through end of the year. Double elite night credit offer runs through July 31, and bonus elite nights count towards status and milestone rewards, but do not roll over.

  1. Someone must have caught on as I couldn’t get it to work on several family accounts.

  2. Appreciate the info and sounds like a great promotion. Unfortunately, when I go to register it asks for a Promotion Code. So they don’t appear to be open to anyone.

  3. I’m also asked for a promo code.

Coide 91001 is embedded in the link, but that is coming up invalid.

Too bad, double elite nights is a great promotion, especially if the double nights count for milestone awards.
