I don’t check such things often, but @LoyaltyTraveler tweets that Ben and I are currently tied for the number one most influential travel blog on Technocrati.
I really don’t know what this means, my sense is it has to do with other blogs measured as influential linking to this blog. And certainly these rankings change all the time. But it’s still sort of fun to see, so thanks to Loyalty Traveler for the heads up (and congratulations for being listed at #8!).
Congratulations as well to Gadling at number 4, the Points Guy at number 5, and Online Travel Review at number 6!
Ironically by linking to these good folks via this blog post, I bet I’m pushing them up in the rankings and will cause myself to drop out of the #1 spot…
Congratulations. If you change the blog name to “A View from the Wing” then you can be listed ahead of Ben’s blog because it looks like they use an alphabetic tiebreaker.
Congrats but I find your blog so much more informative than Lucky’s. I find his trip reports to be mostly drivel.
Yours and Ben’s are the two blogs I visit daily. Congratulations!
Congratulations!
Congrats! If I’m listed at #6, then I certainly wouldn’t trust those rankings 🙂 (at least the rankings below #5).
I’d like to thank the academy…
Congratulations! Thank you for all of your posts.
Lousy links…maybe I’ll add a link to your blog from my site to keep you propped up in the rankings…
Congrats to Gary(Kevin James look alike)
Love you both! Congratulations 🙂
At least the real #1 does not have credit card referals to lower offers (Chase Freedom $200) when there are better offers just to earn a few extra bucks.
@Shady I’m confused if there are better offers than I have shared I am not aware of them, and would absolutely replace them. I put up a post on the SPG Amex 30k offer, I get nothing from that. I have a post on the best American Airlines offers which give me nothing, listing them on my best deals page. I write about offers all the time that provide me nothing. When I’m going to write a card, and it will offer me a referral credit, I use that link and I think I do a pretty ok job of disclosing that. I only recommend those things I find worth doing (eg the Freedom card is one my wife has), and share what I am doing myself or not doing.
